summertime
This year we finally had a great showing of plums! yippee... after 5 years our little plum tree gave us nearly three 5-gallon buckets of juicy, yummy, red plums. Needless to say, our little fruit loving girl was very excited that there was always a supply of fruit in the house during the month of June. Here she is with our first bucket that Mike harvested.
What did we do with all of those plums, you ask? Well, my friends...Mommy got all happy and made preserves! We'll be enjoying the plums all year.
Oh, and she is seated in front of the hydrangea that we gave Mom the first Mother's Day we spent in TN. This is one of two bushes that were transplanted from their house and they've been loving their new home.
Ube-Makapuno ice cream! Mmmm, purple never tasted so good! This is Norah's first ice cream cone. She's tasted ice cream but this one she got to eat on her own!
You can take the family out of LA, but you can't take the LA out of the family! (thank you, Grandma Priss, for the cute Dodger Blues!) And yes, Mommy has the same hat (courtesy of Daddy, on his trip to spring training with Pete & Tanya).
