december 14

Accident or not, this photo captured Norah telling us how old she turned that day! After church we had a pizza party, opened gifts at Auntie Katie's house, napped, then walked around the fabulously decorated Opryland Hotel. Norah enjoyed the Christmas decorations (their 25th anniversary, which made it "extry" spectacular) and held onto her new Belle doll she received from the Crandalls.

getting ready to go out

Here is another example of putting on shoes by herself. She was so ready to get out of the house and I had to take a picture because she wanted to show me how she put the shoe on the wrong foot! I asked her to pose in front of the Christmas tree and she said, "ssur!" (sometimes, "syure")

The other two photos are just before going to the hospital clinic's Christmas party. We were happy to go see some of Mike's former co-workers who invited us even though he hasn't worked there for over a year. Yes, she still tilts her head to say, "Cheese!"

the first snowfall of the season

Sometimes here in Tennessee we get freaky weather changes. Last month we got about an inch of snow and it melted after about a day and a half. Norah LOVED stomping around in it, but didn't want to necessarily touch it with her hands... It took some coaxing to go back inside and her nose and cheeks were already red! She can still fit into the hat and mittens that Auntie Jannell gave her which are perfect for the snow days!

November at home

We brought in some plants this year, especially those that Lolo & Lola left for us to care for. This photo shows the three orchid plants that we keep in the kitchen once the weather turned to freezing temperatures at night. We now have 4 blooms since this picture was taken. It goes well in our kitchen, especially next to our little beauty.

One thing that we love is when Norah puts on her shoes by herself. This particular evening she didn't want to put her pants back on after a diaper change, but wanted her rain boots instead!
