cold days...warm days...

During the winter days we have fun playing inside with blocks. Norah has had some fun building some very tall towers ("castles"), then knocking them down. This castle had a particularly fascinating curve in the upper walls. She's an engineer!

We also have some interesting conversations while playing
.

It was warm enough yesterday to go outside and dig in the dirt!

She randomly mentioned to me, "when I grow up mommy, I'm going to be a doctoh. Make you feel bettuh!" She's been using Mike's blood pressure cuff to play doctor and listen to our hearts.

dancing, gifts, and more dancing!

Christmas and her 2nd birthday lasted for a couple of months. Gifts kept coming in the mail or via Auntie Booboo (who went to CA for New Year's). Norah has very generous Aunties all over the country! Here she is wearing just about everything from Booboo and the San Diego folks, and carrying the purse from Auntie Joannie. Layers are key in this winter weather you know...

Her favorite item seemed to be the pink tutu from Auntie Sheri. She wears it all the time, over ANY outfit. It didn't come off for days. She wears it to watch Sesame Street...Just walking around the house...

And when she's coloring or playing dominos. However, sometimes it doesn't make it up over the rump! It doesn't seem to matter because she still walks around with it like that.

Here she is trying to put it on herself. This time she thought the dancing would work best without pants.

This is a pouting phase on her bed. Still in the tutu...still eating her "baby vitamins" (dried fruits)...but pouting nonetheless.

Valentine's Weekend Photo Shoot!

We had coffee after church with our good friend, Carrie. This is Norah striking her first poses (ever) and she is the one thinking of the poses! (Except for one that Daddy thought of)

You can see the rest of the photos here: Nicelle's facebook album

These photos taken outside of the coffee shop look like she is waiting for her school bus! Oh my...

visit with the Leach family

The Leach family visited from TX so we joined the party.

January

January was a month of fun, using Christmas & birthday gifts, visiting with friends and learning new things. As you can see she enjoys coloring, drawing and "writing in her journal."

One thing that seemed to happen often was the transferring of socks from feet to hands. She was really into "mittens" since we would dress for the cold when going outside.
