Ry Ry - Oct CA Trip
the return of oscar!!!
When we Amoguis kids were little, Atsie (a.k.a. Charlene) used to torture us with a her hand character named Oscar. This year Oscar made his comeback complete with eyeballs! Icky, sticky, squoooshy eyeballs! Norah now makes her hand into a tiny Oscar and pretends to play. HILARIOUS... I used to be seriously afraid of Oscar but now it's just plain hilarious. Above is Oscar in drag, dressed as Dorothy Halloween!

Halloween with the Perrys
We were not really prepared for dressing up so we borrowed some "Princess gear" from Jenna. Jenna was so nice that she let Norah tag along with her on Halloween. It was Norah's first time to go trick-or-treating... We were thinking she'd be shy and not want to take things from strangers but we were proved wrong! As soon as she figured out that she was collecting things in her Princess basket she was really into it! (thanks for the basket, Auntie Charlene, aka 'Atsie'!)
Isn't Jenna an adorable rag doll? She's growing so fast... (sigh)

the last few months...
Since the last entry we have been to California one more time, had Thanksgiving, Norah's birthday, Christmas, and our first TN snow! In an attempt to catch up, I'll start posting from October...
October CA Trip: We hit Laguna Beach and spent some great time with Pete, Tanya & Baby Makena. We also saw a lot of family. We had dinner with the Tulio clan, visited with Great-Grandpa Matye, the Amoguis/Quisido/Perry group in Clovis, and saw all of the cousins at Knott's Berry Farm for Renée's surprise 50th birthday party. We also saw old friends...it was a good trip. I'm in the "kids" photo because Norah wouldn't stand by herself with the rest of the group!

bon voyage, lolo & lola!
Lolo & Lola are now living in the Philippines. Before they left we saw them in West Covina for their ordination and family gathering at the Tulios' house.
Jessica is growing so fast! She is a lovely little girl and is such a good Ate. Norah liked Auntie Joannie too. I didn't get a picture, but Uncle Mik is, "hurray! Mik...!" That's what he taught her to say every time we say his name.
The "Auntie Lolas" were also able to make it from Clovis and Orange County.
coronado beach
Our trip to California was a whirlwind but we were able to spend a day at Coronado beach. Norah loved the water but was a bit unsure about the wet sand. She kept saying, "dirty..." then would try to wash her feet off in the next wave.
Auntie Jannell was kind enough to host all of us at her new condo in San Diego. What a view! Here is Norah, Kaylee and Auntie Nennette on the patio after our beach and pool day.
